WOAG Launches Quran Competition for Young Egyptian & International Students in Cooperation with the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil

WOAG inaugurated the Quran competition for young Egyptian and international students. The competition was launched in cooperation between WOAG’s Noor Magazine and the Federation of Muslim Associations of Brazil. The Competition will include four levels: memorizing the entire Quran in addition to identifying the best recitations, memorizing half of the Quran, memorizing a quarter of the Quran, and memorizing part of the Quran. The competition’s tests will extend for three days and winners will be awarded with valuable material rewards.

The inauguration was attended by Prof. Mohammad al-Mahrasawy, WOAG Vice-Chairman, Prof. Nahla Al-Saidi, Advisor of the Grand Imam for International Students, Mr. Osama Yaseen, WOAG Vice-Chairman and Prof. Abdul Dayyem Nosseir, WOAG Secretary General.

On his part, Prof. al-Mahrasawy stressed WOAG’s concern towards the Egyptian and international university students, imams, preachers, and youth, since they are the builders of the nation’s future. He added that WOAG is highly concerned with binding children with memorizing and reciting the holy Quran, which strongly conforms to the aim of such competition.

Prof. Nahla Al-Saidi underlined that inaugurating such an honorable competition coincides with the holy month of Ramadan and aligns with its essence and theme. She added that honoring the competition’s participants is a duty since the whole nation relies on them to promote and progress its future.

Prof. Nahla Al-Saidi concluded her word by commending the role and the efforts exerted by the participants’ families to put them on the righteous path, the path of goodness, justice, truth, and blessing, especially since the nation is celebrating the holy month of Ramadan, the month of Quran.
