Al-Azhar strongly condemns the brutal crimes committed by the occupying entity across Lebanon, which have claimed dozens of lives and injured hundreds of innocent civilians. It stresses that these attacks represent a serious escalation and a flagrant violation of all international laws and humanitarian covenants.
Likewise, al-Azhar affirms that the targeting of innocent civilians by the occupying entity reflects a persistent desire for aggression and bloodshed. It further condemns the entity’s disregard for human and moral values, its pattern of igniting conflict, and its blatant indifference to the sanctity of life, warning that these actions are an attempt to destabilize the region and undermine current truce and ceasefire agreements. Furthermore, al-Azhar also asserts that the absence of effective international and legal accountability has encouraged the occupier to persist in its criminal behavior and commit further atrocities, which now pose a serious threat to regional security and stability.
Additionally, al-Azhar calls on the international community to act urgently to halt these crimes, fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities to protect civilians, and uphold Lebanon’s unity, stability, and sovereignty over all its territories. Finally, al-Azhar prays that Allah Almighty preserve Lebanon and its people and spare the region the scourges of war and conflict.
