Al-Azhar Graduates in India: the Approach Brought by Quran to Human Life is Based on Moderation

WOAG branch in India convened a lecture under the title of “Adhering to Moderation in all Life Aspect” in the mosque of Hyderabad city, Telangana State, with the participation of 100 people.

During the lecture, Mr. Kaled al-Nezami al-Azhar, member of WOAG India and lecturer at Jamia Nizamia, Hyderabad, India, pointed out that Islam is distinguished with moderation, rather than any other beliefs and faiths. He added that the Islamic approach is based upon moderation in all aspects, which used to be the slogan of Islam since Noah to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH); indeed, true Muslims are those forming the moderate Ummah. Moderation according to Muslims is the right straight path, guidance and goodness, as Allah Almighty says: “and he guides you to a straight path” [Q:48:2] and “And thou, surely thou shalt guide unto a straight path” [Q:42:52]. He clarified that the teachings of Islam call for moderation in obligations and judgements; such teachings stipulated in authentic religious texts and do not need any interpretation, as Allah Almighty says: “Allah desires ease for you, and desires not hardship for you” [Q:2:185] and “Allah desires to lighten things for you; for man was created weak” [Q:4:28]. As a matter of fact, the approach brought by Quran to human life is based upon moderation in all of its aspects and orders; indeed, it is the fair judgement that if people adhere to, they will survive in life and afterlife. Hence, moderation has its impact in every single judgement and verse in the holy Quran and we can sense its meanings in countless areas due to its diversity and variety.
